2023 Chablis 1er Cru, Vau Ligneau, Domaine Louis Moreau
White gold with green tints, the nose reveals mint and pineapple. The palate is powerful yet restrained with fine acidity and a creamy texture.

The 2023 Chablis Vau Ligneau 1er Cru, which spends six months on the lees, has a reticent, stony bouquet that is quite austere at the moment. The palate is fresh on the entry. It’s more tropical, with mango and orange rind. Hats off to the finish, which delivers satisfying delineation and sapidity. It’s not the best in class, but it’s a competent Chablis. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.
