2022 Bakkanali Kab, Toscana IGT
Tasting note
With winemaker Sebastian's minimal intervention approach using only stainless steel for fermentation, this is a very different, juicy and youthful expression of 'Kab' from a tiny 1 hectare organic plot. Lifted aromatics from whole bunches and carbonic maceration, plenty of cassis with incredible tension and poise.
Our thoughts
We were blown away by this Cabernet when Sebastian let us taste some from tank on a visit to Bakkanali. The wine epitomises the team's 'new generation' ethos and we count ourselves lucky to have an allocation from this small parcel!

Deep crimson. Super-distinctive nose with hints of blackcurrant overlaid with sour-cherry and saline notes. Fresh, long and bursting with personality. Gravelly tannins underline the fruit, and there’s plenty of acidity. As wild as Monte Amiata itself.
