Octomore Islay Barley 9.3, 62.9% ABV (70CL)
Octomore Islay Barley 9.3 is produced from 52 tonnes of barley grown on the Octomore Farm on Islay in 2011. 134 casks produced, with most of those being second fill. Oily peat smoke on the nose, with notes of tar, graphite, sea brine and a subtle earthiness. Big sea water, black olives, some sort of shellfish note, along with bright spice, citrus and oily peat and wood char. Really big, but quite slick on a way. Really, really delicious.
