London would be all the poorer without the architectural splendour and cultural pizazz that epitomises Chelsea’s King’s Road. Built in the late 17th century at the behest of Charles II, this private thoroughfare was the exclusive domain of royalty and aristocracy for over a hundred years. Yet there is nothing staid or anodyne about this corner of London; historic alumni includes Oscar Wilde – “I can resist everything except temptation” – and Bram Stoker. Older residents will also remember the storm caused by the rubber and leather creations of  designer Vivienne Westwood, advertised at her famous clothing store on King’s Road. Today it remains one of south-west London’s most dynamic neighbourhoods, with historic streets custom-built for shopping and socialising. Especially, it must be said, if you like to leaven your retail therapy with superlative food and drink.

Jeroboams is delighted to have become part of this evolving story. Our venue on the King’s Road will cater to everyone, showcasing a diverse selection of Champagnes, wines and spirits – a balance of global icons and esoteric gems. But this isn’t simply another wine shop: we offer in-store tastings, friendly advice, and an events space cellar for your next celebration – whether a tasting, a dinner or drinks reception. Our food emporium, meanwhile, will showcase the best of local, artisan produce. “I am always satisfied with the best,” observed the great raconteur Mr. Wilde.

That’s our philosophy too.
