Hine's flagish cognac, the Antique XO is a blend of over 40 eaux-de-vie exclusively from the Grande Champagne region. More mature in flavour than both the H and Rare VSOP, Antique plays off fruit and oak against one another, revealing notes of hazelnut, ripe quince and spice, with touches of fig tast and tobacco becoming apparent on the palate. Complex and very long on the finish, Hine's trademark freshness is still there, enlivening this wonderfully mature and satifisying cognac.
