A fantastic release from an icon of rum, Hampden Estate is a pure single rum made in collaboration with bottle Velier. Hampden are known for making intense, highly-character rums with a gargantuant ester content. Wild fermentation, 100% pot distilled, matured in the tropics and no added sugar give an astoundingly delicious rum. Lots of pineapple, guava and lime on he nose with banana, clove and spice. The palate is big and tasty, with a beautiful mixture of creamy banana pie and dusty spice. It is weighty and oily, with a touch of astringency giving a fantastic texture. It finishes with great intensity as layers and layers of flavour reveal themselves.
