GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 8 Single Malt Whisky, 61% ABV (70CL)
Back at it again with the eight release, the GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 8 single malt is aged in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks for eight wonderul years. Bottled at a feisty 61% ABV, this little dram is chocked full of barley sugar, mocha, praline and oak. The characteristic GlenDronach combo of bright fruit and sherry flavour comes through nice and clearly, with a touch of espresso adding interest. Spice from the casks (and from the alcohol) shows up on the finish in a really pleasing way. Delicious stuff.
