GlenDronach 18 Year Old Allardice Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70CL)
Perhaps the sherriest (!!!) GlenDronach, the Allardice 18 Year Old is named after James Allardice, the distillery's founder. Matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks, this is a sumptuously thick dram, packed to the hilts with Christmas cake, smoked almonds, roasted hazelnut and dark chocolate flavour. A hint of rum permeates the palate, which picks up some ripe pineapple flavour, finishing up with maplesyrup and bramble notes. Stupidly delicious.
