Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70CL)

Recently launched as the flagship whisky of Bruichladdich's peat adventure brand Port Charlotte, this 10 Year Old single malt is a warming dose of delicious smoky peat. Made from 100% Scottish barley, it is peated to 40 ppm then matured in first- and second-fill American whiskey casks, and second-fill French wine casks. Brittle, marine-tinged peat smoke mingles with brunt orange, lemon meringue and caramel brownie. There is also a herbal flavour too. Soft but assertive on the palate, you get a lovely hit of charred oak and seaweed alongside Custard Cream and lemon honey. Beautifully balanced throughout, with drying peat smoke, ginger snap and rye. Perfect for those who want a more judiciously peated whisky.
