The Balvenie Stories 12 Year Old Sweet Toast of American Oak, 43% ABV (6 x 70CL)
Inspired to produce an even fruitier, sweeter Balvenie, Apprentice Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie had the bright idea to import Virgin Oak barrels from Kentucky. After deep toasting them at The Balvenie Cooperage they were filled with Balvenie aged in ex-bourbon barrels. The result is a delectably complex whisky with notes of candied fruit, coconut and delicate vanilla.
Sweet fudge and deliciously malty, oak vanilla and citrus aroma, followed by notes of ginger, spicy oak and cinnamon. On the palate, there is butterscotch and toffee, blossom honey, lemon peel and orange, ending with a hint of brown sugar and oak spices. It finishes with gentle oak vanilla and subtle spices while rich and malty.
