2022 Meursault Rouge, Domaine Matrot (6 x Bottle)
An excellent bright mid purple. Already a very classy bouquet, the balance of the Monthelie but with a little fuller fruit, velvet texture, essence of raspberries, then a structure based more on acidity than tannins, and very good persistence. Yes please!

Vinous
The 2022 Meursault Rouge is quite early-picked (before the Volnay Santenots). It has a ripe nose with plush red fruit, candied orange peel and touches of potpourri – more outgoing compared to the La Fussière at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannins, finely chiseled and fresh with a precise finish. This is going to be a lovely Meursault Rouge.
