2020 SBS Single Barrel Guyana Rum, 66.4% ABV (70CL)
Bottled by rare rum afficionados, Single Barrel Selection, this rum was distilled from molasses in 2020 in the legendary double wooden pot still from Port Morant, which now resides at Diamond distillery in Guyana. The spirit was matured for 2 years in a heavily charred virgin oak cask, kept in the SBS warehouse in Denmark, before bottling in August 2022. Sweet notes of toffee and vanilla with a pleasant hint of oak and coconut. Spicy and pungent at first with notes of caramel and butterscotch and a lot of wood impact. The finish is medium-long with a silky mouthfeel.
