Vinous
Sweet red berry fruit meets oak-derived spice and vanilla in the scented yet ripe 2020 Pinot Noir. It’s an upfront, approachable-in-youth style with supple tannins and fresh acidity, if rather fleeting.

Vinous
The 2020 Pinot Noir is full, smooth and pleasurable. It fills the mouth with sleek but intense, sweet dark fruit flavors alongside fruit cake and baking spices, but there is also a distinctly Martinborough savoriness and even a puff of smokiness. Concentrated and seamless, the wine draws out on the lengthy finish that evokes, again, smoky, savory scents. Still, in its fruity youth, the depth and richness suggest this would benefit from cellaring over the medium term. Drink 2023 if you’re a fruit nut, or wait for better things to come.
