This opulent 2020 Chardonnay impresses thanks to the sheer power of its oak and fruit which have helped to craft a full-throttle Margaret River style. Ripe and exotic aromas of nectarine, fig, baked mandarin and florals are joined by rich toasty oak. They are followed by strong, muscular, energetic and slightly adolescent fruit flavours with oak and fruit yet to fully integrate. Chalky acidity underneath provides a fresh appeal to the finish but the wine still needs time to settle.
