2018 Chateau Les Charmes-Godard, Cotes de Bordeaux Francs (12 x Bottle)
The 2018 Les Charmes Godard is gorgeous. Creamy, open-knit and so seductive, the 2018 is a real pleasure to taste. Apricot, mint, lemon confit, chamomile and a kiss of French oak flesh out as this creamy, beautifully textured dry white opens. The 2018 is smooth yet retains terrific freshness and verve, especially for the year.

Inside Bordeaux
Great texture and grip, clear depth of flavour and a sense of minerality – really a very good white wine by Nicolas Thienpont that has salinity and is mouthwatering on the finish. Unusual for its Sémillon dominance, fermented in 500l barrels for six months.

Vinous
Nicolas Thienpont’s 2018 Les Charmes Godard is one of the whites of the vintage. A blend of 63% Sémillon, 21% Sauvignon Blanc and 16% Sauvignon Gris fermented and aged in oak, Les Charmes Godard is flat out beautiful. Apricot, dried flowers, lemon confit, slate and a touch of oak add shades of nuance to this distinctive, delicious white. Tasted three times.
