2013 Gran Enemigo, Chacayes Single Vineyard, Bodegas Aleanna (6 x Bottle)

After a few bottles from 2012, the 2013 Gran Enemigo Chacayes Single Vineyard felt quite ripe and a little earthy. This is the second vintage of this single-vineyard wine from a young vineyard inside The Vines of Mendoza complex. The vineyard was planted in 2006, so it's still very young, and it was harvested in two tries. There is some 15% Malbec to complement the Cabernet Franc. The palate is medium-bodied and soft, with ripe flavors and a round, lush texture. This is a bit ripe for the style of Gran Enemigo. 6,000 bottles produced.
