When barrels of Laphroaig is sold off to independent bottlers, it goes by the name of Williamson in tribute to the famous owner Bessie Williamson, who led Laphroaig to success in the US either side of World War II. Matured in Oloroso sherry hogsheads for 10 years, this dram comines all the wet peat, seaweed and bonfire with a subtle dusty raisin. But do not mistaken; this is still a punchy, classically-styled Laphroaig. 1139 bottles produced.
