Veronique Gunther-Chereau
Véronique Günther-Chéreau owns three estates including the Château de Coing, which lies at the confluence of the Sèvre and Petit Maine. As the daughter of Bernard Chéreau and Edmonde Carrés, Véronique herself was raised in the St.-Fiacre vineyard and she combines her family led traditions and personal enthusiasm to produce outstanding wines of the utmost quality. Her father was a pioneer taking Muscadet to Paris in the 1950s and rejecting the more common practice, popular at the time, of making bulk wines. In 1990, Véronique became the full-time winemaker. Maintaining the Loire’s tradition of family run wineries, she produces a range of quality wines to suit all occasions.
