Trentham Estate
Part of a former sheep station called Trentham Cliffs, it was in the late 1940s that the vineyards at Trentham were established although the first estate wine was not made until 1984. The Murphy family were pioneers in the region and since 1997 brothers Patrick and Anthony have overseen viticulture and winemaking. There are 60 hectares of vineyards planted to sixteen different varieties. The estate also makes a small range of wines from the finest regions in Victoria. The Yarra Valley Chardonnay is a complex and elegant wine that shows subtle oak and great freshness.
