Rasocolmo
This tiny property of 10 hectares – with only 1½ planted to vines – is the family farm of Francesco Reitano, which he lovingly restored in 2004. Located near Messina in the far North-east of the island, just two wines are made, a red and a white. Production is, understandably, very limited, but the red, a blend of the two Narellos, Nocera, Nero d’Avola and Sangiovese, is bursting with character.
