Pazo de San Mauro

The Pazo de San Mauro was founded in 1988. In 2003, the property was purchased by Marques de Vargas (qv) from Rioja and there has been great investment here in both the vineyard and the winery. In total there are 30 hectares of Albariño vines in the Condado do Tea subzone of Rais Baixas. This is in the far South on the Portuguese border and as the warmest subzone, produces wines of great ripeness and weight.
