Louis Roederer
Originally founded in 1776, Louis Roederer was re-named after the man who inherited it in 1833. The company gained fame when Tsar Alexander II appointed them official supplier to the Imperial Court of Russia. Today the company holds 214 hectares, mainly consisting of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with a small proportion of Pinot Meunier and makes some of the most balanced and reliable Non-vintage and a little known but superb blanc de blanc.
