Hatzidakis Winery
For 20 years, Haridimos Hatzidakis built a reputation as the finest producer on Santorini and a driving force for international recognition of Greek wine. He made wine from a combination of vineyards he owned, leased and some bought in fruit, all in an underground cave winery in the highest village on the island. Haridimos died suddenly in 2017 and his daughters and widow vowed to continue his work. The vineyards are certified organic and winemaking is very hands off, producing wines of incredible depth and rapier like freshness, that bear comparison with the finest whites of the world.
