Gifford’s Hall, Suffolk
Planted 20 years ago by the Howard family, the vineyard here covers 12 hectares and is planted to 5 different varieties. A multi-award winning winery, Gifford’s Hall is now a well established face on the English wine scene and makes what is arguably the finest rosé from these shores. As has been widely reported in the media, 2012 was a very difficult year for English wine makers, however those in the East fared considerably better, as rainfall was only high here rather than biblical and some decent weather late in the season saved the crop.
