Galfano

The Galfanos have farmed around Marsala for two centuries, but it was only in the 1990’s that they decide to set up a winery. From the start, they have made wine as naturally as posssible, with organic methods in the vineyard and traditional, minimum intervention methods in the winery. There are 50 hectares of vines, all traditional Sicilian varieties and two ranges of wine are made, Galfano and Giuva, the latter only made in tiny quantities in the best years. These are very complex, intellectual and savoury wines that can be initially challenging, but always pull you back to the glass for more.
