Dr. Loosen

One of Germany’s top estates that has been in the family for 200 years, it consists of 11.6 hectares of vineyards, the vast majority of Riesling, planted in the best sites around Bernkastel in the Mosel. Since 1988 Ernst Loosen, who had trained as an archaeologist, has been in charge and has built a reputation as perhaps the country’s finest winemaker, making wines of uncommon intensity, focus and balance.
