Domaine P. Cotat
Until 1992 the Cotat family ran one single domaine, legendary for making some of the greatest white wines of the Loire Valley. Following insistence by the tax authorities their vineyards have been divided between the two cousins. They continue to follow the family tradition of high maturity, exceptionally low yields and barrel fermentation but without fining or filtration. The wines have a depth and breadth that one would not normally associate with Sauvignon Blanc. They are capable of ageing majestically for over a decade.
