Domaine Leflaive
The most famous domaine in Puligny and one of the most collectable in Burgundy, Leflaive was built up to 25 hectares by Joseph in the early 20th century and made great wines under his sons Vincent and Jo through to the 1980s. Vincent’s daughter Anne-Claude ran the estate impeccably from 1990 through to her untimely death in 2015. Ownership remains spread through the family and the estate is now managed by Brice de la Morandiere. There are 5 hectares of Grand Cru and 10 of premier cru (including a large holding of Pucelles that is regularly of Grand Cru quality) and the wines have a richness, depth and elegance seldom matched anywhere else.
