Domaine Henry Pelle

There have been Pellés growing grapes in the region for generations, but it was with the creation of the Menetou-Salon AC in 1959 that the Domaine came into being. Now run by Anne Pellé, the third generation to run the estate, the Domaine organically farms 40 hectares of vineyards. Although they produce admirable Sancerre, it is their Menetou-Salon that has made them famous and it is they in turn who have made the appellation famous. The ‘les Bornés’ cuvée is a rich mineral scented wine that puts many more expensive and illustrious Sancerres to shame.
