Domaine G. Saumaize

Guy Saumaize was a third-generation vigneron from Vergisson, one of the top communes in Pouilly-Fuissé. He learnt his craft from his father and honed it at oenology college. The Domaine was born in 1981, when with bank loans and a great deal of help from his father’s contacts, Guy purchased some land to build a house and winery on and 14.5 hectares of vineyards across Davayé, Prissé, Solutré and Vergisson. Guy sadly died in 2013, leaving his son Guillaume and his widow, Annie, to carry on his work.
