Domaine du Siléne
This domaine acquired its name from Silenus, the tutor of Dionysius, the Greek god of food and wine, a clay effigy of whom was found at the domaine. Quality is everything here, with the wine made from low yielding ancient Syrah vines with a seasoning of Grenache, aged for nearly 2 years in new French oak barrels. Grès de Montpellier is located in the foothills near Beziers, and combines plenty of sunshine with cooling winds to create wines of power and finesse.
