Domaine des Maillettes

Guy Saumaize was a third generation vigneron from Vergisson, one of the top communes in Pouilly-Fuissé. He learnt his craft from his father and honed it at enology college. The Domaine was born in 1981, when with bank loans and a great deal of help from his father’s contacts, Guy purchased some land to build a house and winery on and some vineyards in Davayé. Guy sadly died a couple of years back, but his son has continued at the hem and continues to make very traditional styled burgundies.
