Domaine de la Ville Rouge

The Girard family have been growing top quality grapes in Crozes since 1925. For four generations then supplied the Cave in Tain and merchants such as Jaboulet and Chapoutier, from their 15 hectares. In 2003, Sébastien joined his parents Edgar and Jocelyn at the property and convinced them to start to make and bottle their own wine, thus the domaine was born. The first vintage was in 2006 and the wines immediately wowed the critics, scoring very highly with the Wine Spectator and with Robert Parker.
