Domaine Comte Armand

For many years this domaine, with an absentee family ownership, consisted of one monopole vineyard, the magnificent Clos des Epeneaux. Revitalised in the 1980s under Pascal Marchand, the estate was expanded to 10 hectares in the early 90s with acquisitions in Auxey-Duresses, Volnay and Meursault and has been run since 1999 by Benjamin Leroux with the vineyards biodynamic for over 20 years. The wines from here are some of the most structured and longest lived in the region, but they are not without finesse and mature beautifully.
