Domaine André Pigeat
The Pigeats have been in Quincy for over 300 years, but it was only in 1954 that André and brother Christian started planting vines on the property, replacing the arable crops previous generations had concentrated on. Christian went his own way in 1970 whilst Philippe joined his father in 1999. They now have 8 hectares of vines, mostly sauvignon with a small plot of pinot noir. There are 2 cuvées of Quincy, one oaked, one only aged in tank and both of which are exemplary. This domaine is very unusual in Quincy for practicing organic methods and using only indigenous yeasts.
