Coriole, McLaren Vale

Coriole was established by Hugh and Molly Lloyd in 1967 and with vineyards dating back to 1919, it rapidly became established as one of McLaren Vale’s top producers of Shiraz. Now run by Hugh and Molly’s sons, Mark and Paul, it continues to produce top class Shiraz, along with a range of Italian varieties, Chenin Blanc and small amounts of Cabernet. Winemaking is very traditional, with open top fermenters and hand plunging of the cap and limited new oak use.
