Clos Floridene
This property consists of 32 hectares and was created by the late Bordeaux professor of Enology (and the region’s foremost expert on white wines) Denis Dubourdieu and his wife Florence, more recently aided by their two sons. Located near Barsac, it is planted half and half with red and white varieties, but the white has always been the more accomplished of the two wines. Roughly equal parts of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc are fermented in mostly older oak giving a wine of great poise and elegance.
