Chateau Ramafort

This is a relatively small property of around 20 hectares and is under the same ownership as La Cardonne. The vineyard in half and half Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and the resulting wine spends a year in barrels, half of which are renewed each vintage. Ramafort tends to produce a very accessible style of wine, although not short on ageability. The 2000 vintage was of very high and homogenous quality and the Ramafort garnered fine reviews from sources as diverse as the Wine Spectator and the Guide Hachette.
