Chateau l’Enclos
Located on the western slope of Pomerol next door to château Petrus, the vineyard is just under 9 hectares planted to 79% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec. L’Enclos is under the same ownership as Fonplegade in St Emilion and the wines are made by Franck Jugelmann, whose previous credits include Haut- Brion, with advice from legendary oenologist Michel Rolland. 2009 was the first vintage made of a second wine, Le Petit Enclos, and only 700 cases were crafted of this 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc blend.
