Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou
This 75 hectare second growth, a quintessential St.-Julien has been in the Borie family for 80 years and, other than some issues with TCA between 1986 and 1993, has barely put a foot wrong in all that time. Long recognised as one of the leading properties of Bordeaux, the grand vin may be up to 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and has great ageing ability. Their is also a notably good second wine here, La Croix de Beaucaillou.
