Chateau Doisy-Vedrines
The earliest origins of this estate can be traced to the 18th Century. In the 19th Century, the estate was divided into three (Doisy-Védrines, Doisy-Däene and Doisy-Dubroca), with the Védrines portion staying in the original family. In 1851, the Boireau family purchased the 30 hectares of Védrines and their descendants still run it today. The vineyard is 85% Sémillon and 15% Sauvignon and the wines are aged in oak (70% new each vintage) for 16 months. The second wine Petit-Védrines is a notable bargain.
