Chateau Caronne Ste Gemme

For long a favourite of the English, Caronne is a 50 hectare property located just to the South of St. Julien, with a reputation for quite aromatic and sturdy wines. With a slight majority of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend and a fairly long maceration period, the wines of Caronne are classically deep fruited with good structure and the 2006, which is just reaching maturity, is true to type.
