Chateau Branaire-Ducru

This fourth growth consists of 60 hectares next to Beychevelle and has been owned by Patrick Maroteaux since 1988. Under his stewardship there has been significant investment and the wines from here, unusually high in Cabernet Sauvignon, are elegant and well-balanced and have been remarkably consistent over the past 30 years.
