Chateau Beausejour Heretiers Duffau-Lagarrosse

One of the 18 Premier Grand Cru Classés of St.-Émilion, it has been in the Duffau-Lagarosse family since 1847. After a period of mixed quality, consultants Nicolas Thienpont and Stéphane Derenoncourt were bought in and for the last dozen years this has been one of the very best estates in the appellation. Made from 70% merlot balanced with the two Cabernets, around 3,000 cases a year are made from the 7 hectares.
