Boekenhoutskloof
Established in 1776 by Huguenot French, the estate was resurrected in 1993 by a committed group of enthusiasts, who replanted the vineyards and restored the homestead. The name comes from the local Cape Beech tree, which is paid tribute to with the chairs on the labels. Marc Kent has been in charge from the inception and the reputation of his wines puts them amongst the best in the world. The Semillon is a beautiful barrel fermented example with full waxy fruit, plenty of spice and fresh acidity. We get an allocation of his red wines once a year, so if you would like to catch them while you can, please let us know and register an interest.
