Azienda Vitivinicola La Zerbal

La Zerba is a family estate owned by the Lorenzis. They farm 10 hectares of Cortese and 2 hectares of Barbera, all in the Gavi subzone of Tassarolo and have been producing wine since 1989. In charge in the vineyard is Livio Lorenzi, whilst winemaking is taken care of by Tiziano Pelanda. The wine here is very pure with flavours of ripe melon and a fresh finish. The classic local accompaniment is a plain risotto and who am I to argue.
