Adega Castro Brey

Founded in 1983 by Jose Castro Brey, three generatios of family have worked the property, located high up the Ulla valley in the Ribeira do Ulla subzone of Rías Baixas. They own 12 hectares across two vineyards; one near the winery, and a second close to the coast in the Val do Salnés subzone, which was the historic heart of Rías Baixas and where a more mineral style of Albariño comes. The Castro Valdes wine is from the high vineyards and is very ripe and expressive.
