AA Badenhorst

From a grape-growing family in Constantia, Adi Badenhorst made his first wine aged 13 and went on to be the celbrated head winemaker at Rustenberg. In 2008, along with his cousin Hein, he bought a neglected 60 hectare farm in Swartland including 28 hectares of ancient bushvines, aiming to make expressive wines with minimum intervention. In a dozen years his wines have become legendary for their elegance, complexity and sense of place.
