“The 2022s are perhaps the best that I have tasted to date… This is a domaine going places. Hitch a ride.”

Neal Martin, Vinous

Domaine Matrot, under the new stewardship of sixth-generation sisters Elsa and Adèle, is fast solidifying its place as one of Meursault’s top producers. Using the same principles as their father Thierry, and before that their grandfather Pierre, eschewing the use of new oak for the whites and never acidifying, they have produced in 2022 their finest set of wines to date, setting a new benchmark for the Domaine.

While some of their wines have already sold out, we still have a few cases remaining of their tiny production reds including their Meursault Rouge (£175 per 6) as well as their “over-achieving” Maranges Villages (£120 per 6), and for the eagle-eyed, a smattering of 1er Crus, including the 93-95 point Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes and their “superb” Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chalumeaux.

And do we even need to point out what incredible value their five-star rated Bourgogne Chardonnay is at £110 per 6x75cl in bond…

We expect these to sell out quickly so be sure to secure your stocks today.
