Domaine Antonin Guyon
“It’s a mystery to me how this 48-hectare estate, producing some 200,000 bottles per year and blessed with grand appellations, continues to fly somewhat under the radar.“
William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
Domaine Antonin Guyon is one of the largest family owned domaines in Burgundy, owning a remarkable 48 hectares of some of the finest vineyards across the Côte d’Or. This forward-looking domaine is constantly striving for improvements in the vineyard and the cellar and has been certified organic since 2018. While in 2021 volumes were reduced by 75% across the board, in 2022 we are pleased to report that there is a return to “more normal” volumes of wine, which means this is an excellent opportunity to stock up on some of your favourite vineyards.
Hombeline Guyon, working alongside her father Dominique and Vincent Nico, is taking this estate to new heights, and the 2022s are some of the finest we have ever tasted. Constantly striving to improve the vineyards and the cellar, the estate has been certified organic since 2018. Hombeline believes that the wines in 2022 have a good balance between the vintage’s solar quality and the vineyards’ terroir. We couldn’t agree more – the entire range shows excellent expression of terroir while also displaying an undeniable charm and approachability that only a solar vintage brings to Burgundy.
It’s also worth pointing out that pricing is largely held on last year – a very welcome and smart move by the Domaine.
